DIY_air_freshinerSick and tired of spending tons of money on chemical air fresheners? Here is a list of homemade air fresheners that take seconds to make, are environmentally friendly and cost effective!

Dab a few drops of your favorite cooking extract like vanilla or coffee on a cool light bulb, and then turn it on.

Tape your favorite scented dryer sheet to the inside of your AV filter.

Put a mixture of baking soda and lemon juice or white vinegar and lemon juice in small bowls around the house.

Have houseplants such a ferns, palms or lily’s around your home. These plants are known to be the top odor absorbing plants.

While cooking, simmer a pot of 2 cups water and 2 teaspoons white vinegar to prevent cooking odors.

Grind up slices or lemons, limes or oranges in your garbage disposal.

Simmer water and your favorite smelling spices such as cinnamon, vanilla or cloves on the stove.

Place a bowl of dried fruits, flowers or herbs around your home.

If searching for a spray air freshener: put a tablespoon of baking soda in a bowl and drop 2-3 drops of your favorite essential oils and mix well. Then pour the baking soda mix into a spray bottle and fill with distilled water, shake well and spray away!
