Tips for cleaning up sauce and juice stains

cleaning_sauceImagine this, you just got done making a fantastic Italian dinner, the table is set and your family is all gathered around. You just poured your 5 year old a cup of fruit juice and are now heading into the kitchen to put the juice away. When you return into the dining room you find things are not the way you left them. There is juice all over the table, floor and your child. Spaghetti sauce is all over their face, hair and shirt. What a mess!! Not to fret, I have some quick and easy stain removers for these two messes.

Tomato Stains:

Fresh Stains:

You will need liquid dish soap and cold water
1. Apply a small amount of dish soap to the stained area.
2. Gently rub the stain with your fingers or by rubbing two sides of the fabric together.
3. Rinse with cold water
4. Repeat if the stain remains

Set in stains:

You will need liquid dish soap, white vinegar and an ice cube
1. Wet the stain with water
2. Gently rub the dish soap into the stain
3. Rub over the stained area with an ice cube as you are rubbing the stain out
4. Blot the area with a cloth that has been moistened with white vinegar
5. Wash as usual

Fruit Juice:

Mix 1 teaspoon liquid dish soap with 1 teaspoon white vinegar and 1 quart cold water
1. Blot the stain with a clean cloth
2. Moisten a new clean cloth with the cleaning solution and blot into the stain
3. Repeat with a clean cloth until the stain is gone

OR

Mix 1/4 cup baking soda with 2 cups cold water
1. Blot the stain with a clean cloth
2. Moisten a new clean cloth with the cleaning solution and blot into the stain
3. Repeat with a clean cloth until the stain is gone

Now you have some stain removing tips that will change your first reaction from a yell to a laugh. After all, it’s not a mess – it’s a memory.

    My Haan FS20 was working great then all of a sudden it quit , no steam , cap stays black , wont turn back to the orange color and the foot lever switch wont work , just stays on , hope someone can help
